General Abstracts

We would welcome the submissions of general abstracts for the 2nd African PACS & RIS ’12 edu-conference to be held in Johannesburg from 5 to 7 of October 2012. Abstracts from original research, experience gained during PACS & RIS implementations, and any other topics relating to medical imaging informatics are welcome to be submitted. Abstracts can be submitted any time up until the 1 August 2012. Abstracts should be submitted by emailing Kim Peters kim@imfunzelelo.co.za.

Abstract will be reviewed after the 1 August 2012 and participants will be informed if their abstract has been accepted for presentation by no later than 14 August 2012.

You are welcome to submit abstracts not related to research which review a specific topic or deal with a specific issue around medical imaging informatics which you would like to share.

Manuscripts Guidelines

Software: The manuscript must be compatible with Microsoft 2003 Word format or later.
Language: English.
Font: Arial 10 point.
Line 1: Title - centred and in bold.
Line 2: Full Name. Affiliation, Address and Contact details including Email address (left justified).
Spacing: Single spacing and a line between paragraphs.
Margins: 2 cm.
Text: Fully justified.

Length: Maximum number of words: 2500 and not exceeding five A4 pages including graphics. Papers can be organized according to personal preference, but must include an abstract of no more than 200 words as well as a short list of recommended reading.

Please note that all papers have to be submitted by 1st August 2012. No late submissions will be accepted.
