Riaan van der Watt has been working in the Health Technology field since 1995. He has worked for two of the three large private hospital groups as hospital engineer, clinical engineer and as group technical manager. He has been a member of the National Council of the Clinical Engineering Association of South Africa since its inception in 2001. He holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, an Honour in Biomedical Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management, all from the University of Pretoria. In June 2007 he founded Rho Consulting, an independent Health Technology Consultancy focusing on Clinical Engineering and Health Technology Management.
