Mike Leathes heads up one of South Africa’s leading radiology and medical IT companies. His BSC degree and Engineering Diploma form the base from which he has developed much insight into the medical IT industry. After starting out in the radiological modality business, he spent time in core IT and Networking and is now fully committed to the specialist field of medical IT. His specific knowledge of RIS and PACS has helped him develop and implement strategies to optimise design for usability and accessibility of radiology solutions. Understanding of the technical terms and protocols as well as a grasp of the end user requirements is what sets him apart and adds to his success.
