Johan Schoombee grew up in the Cape. He matriculated at Paarl Boy’s High and educated at Stellenbosch in the disciplines of commerce, finance and auditing.

Johan spent 23 years with De Beers where he excelled at business transformation with the assistance of information technology.  In October 1997 he was awarded the “IT Manager of the year” from the Computer Society of South Africa “In recognition of his business contribution to his Company”.

In 1999 he moved back to the Cape where he became an independent Business Consultant. At present his is consulting to the Department of Health.
