André du Plessis is currently working in the Radiology Department at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. He completed his medical degree at the University of Stellenbosch, after which he spent 18 months in the United Kingdom. He is currently completing his post-graduate studies in diagnostic radiology at the University of Pretoria. His special fields of interest are information technology in the field of diagnostic radiology, especially digital teaching file systems. He instituted the digital teaching file at Steve Biko Academic Hospital and is still actively involved in ongoing administration, not only of the digital teaching file, but also other PACS related matters.
